Untitled album
Harmony, blend, synthesis and ambiguity fused with an intense energy well ascribe the work which combines the striking features of the three most acclaimed traditions of South Asia. Taking the dragon as a motif, the work proposes different ideas on different levels. Serving as camouflage, it comes to reflect all the various identities we choose to represent ourselves with. It is not just on individual level rather on social and political strands where the image serves its wider scope. Satirizing the different institutions, it becomes an overpowering force to dominate others on both individual and collective level. Its androgynous nature makes its character more subtle in nature as it does not restrict itself to any gender equation, representing both the personas. Personifying all the energies of human nature whether positive and negative, this mythical character becomes a reservoir of that part of our self we ourselves remain alien to. The work is an archaic as well as modern experience of all the divergent elements combined with an experimental and innovative design.
